Home/Services/About us

Locally owned, and on these pools for eighteen years

Palm Beach Pool Service was founded by Shea Hoffman and has served homeowners, condos, and communities across Palm Beach County since. We treat every customer like a neighbor, because most of them are.

Our story

Your pool should be the easy part of owning a home

Shea Hoffman founded Palm Beach Pool Service and has spent more than eighteen years on pools in this county. In that time he has seen every way a pool can go wrong, and most of them start with someone cutting a corner.

We're locally owned and operated, which is not a marketing line so much as a description of how the work actually gets done. There is no regional manager, no franchise route quota, and no script. When you call, you reach the people who service your pool.

We treat every customer like a neighbor, because in this county most of them are. That means showing up when we said we would, telling you plainly what we found, and doing work that holds up rather than work that looks finished.

The range runs from weekly maintenance to complete renovations — cleaning, repairs, leak detection, remodeling, and equipment upgrades. Doing all of it ourselves means a problem found on a Tuesday service visit doesn't become a referral to someone else.

How we work

We show up on time

Your pool is on a route, on a day, and you'll know which. If something changes you hear about it from us first.

We communicate clearly

Every visit ends with a report: chemistry readings, a checklist, and photos. No jargon, no guessing whether anyone came.

We deliver results that last

Proper prep before resurfacing. Locating a leak before digging. Diagnosing before replacing. The slower option is usually the cheaper one.

We tell you the truth

Including when the answer is that you don't need the work, or that the repair isn't worth it on a unit that old.

Credentials

Who you're letting through the gate

A pool company has your gate code and access to your backyard every week. These are the things worth checking before you hand that over to anyone.

Common questions

Questions we get asked

Who owns Palm Beach Pool Service?
Shea Hoffman founded the company and still runs it. It is locally owned and operated in Palm Beach County, not a franchise or a regional branch of a larger operation.
How long have you been in business?
More than eighteen years servicing pools across Palm Beach County.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. We're licensed, fully insured, and CPO-certified. Ask and we'll give you the licence number and a certificate of insurance before any work starts.
What areas do you serve?
Palm Beach County. The full list of cities, towns, and villages is on the home page, and the honest answer about any particular address is a phone call — call 561-406-8271 and we'll tell you whether you're on a route.
Do you service commercial and HOA pools as well as residential?
Yes. Community, condo, and commercial pools are part of the business, including the chemistry documentation Florida health inspections require.
What makes you different from the other pool companies here?
The service report after every visit is the concrete answer. You get water chemistry readings, a checklist of what was done, and photos of your pool that day, so you never have to take our word for it.
Do you do the work yourselves or subcontract it?
We do it ourselves — cleaning, equipment repair, leak detection, and remodeling all in-house. That's why a problem spotted on a weekly visit can be fixed by the same company that found it.
